A new collaboration with designer Adam D. Tihany

RODA presents THEA, the new outdoor collection designed by Adam D. Tihany

“Our vision for the Thea collection was to create inviting, contemporary outdoor seating inspired by lines and shapes found in nature. The result offers plush, cocoon-like comfort within a sleek aluminum frame. Roda’s style and design sensibility, brand philosophy and professionalism has made this collaboration all the more successful and enjoyable.” – Adam D. Tihany

With the THEA collection, Adam Tihany meets the world of RODA.

Universally regarded as the preeminent designer in the hospitality sector, Tihany has created innovative interiors for hotels and restaurants in some of the most iconic properties the world over. He was one of the first designers to collaborate with internationally renowned chefs to create bespoke restaurants interiors. Moreover, Tihany has become a leading cruise ship interior designer.

For RODA, Tihany has created an outdoor collection for the hospitality sector consisting of a two-seater sofa, an armchair, and coffee tables with round tops, in two sizes.

The name of the collection, THEA, comes from Calathea, a South American plantknown for its beautiful striped leaves. The pattern characterising the structure of the THEA modules, in fact, has been inspired by these leaves and is a distinctive element of their design.

The entire THEA collection uses RODA’s traditional finishes and materials. The aluminium structure of the sofa and the armchair can be had in the typical smoke and rust painted finishes, and the comfortable cushions are available with water-draining padding materials. The table tops in porcelain stoneware can be freely personalised by choosing a colour from among the rich range of matte and glossy variants offered by RODA.

With THEA, designed by the expert hand of Adam D. Tihany, RODA confirms its strong long-term presence on the contract market and its unwavering focus on product value and quality.
