Terrazza Aperol Milan: Architecture and conviviality in the heart of the city
Overlooking Piazza del Duomo, Terrazza Aperol has renewed its identity with an interior design project by Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, transforming every detail into a sensory experience.
An iconic spot for the Milanese aperitivo, the terrace combines contemporary design, comfort, and a convivial atmosphere. Large windows offer a full view of the square and the Duomo, while fluid lines and carefully selected materials play with natural light, creating a harmonious and welcoming environment.
“With this project, we wanted to create a space that truly invites conviviality, where architecture becomes a bridge between the spatial experience and the pleasure of being together,” say architects Claudio Saverino and Tiziano Vudafieri. “We worked with reflective surfaces to amplify light and the dialogue with the outdoors, turning every detail into a sensory experience. The atmosphere, with warm colors and dynamic perspectives, is designed to celebrate the ritual of the aperitivo in a setting that honors Milan, emphasizing both its history and contemporary spirit .»
The layout encourages interaction and socializing, turning the terrace into a privileged vantage point over contemporary Milan. Elegant and functional RODA furnishings complete the experience without overloading the space, making the terrace a natural extension of the interiors.
Vudafieri-Saverino Partners stands out for its design rigor and surprising atmospheres. With offices in Milan and Shanghai, the firm has collaborated with masters such as Aldo Rossi, Achille Castiglioni, and Ettore Sottsass, developing projects that place the relationships between people, cities, and the contemporary landscape at the center.
