VELA boards the new Grande 44M by Azimut Yachts
On the occasion of the Cannes Yachting Festival, the new Grande 44M by Azimut Yachts welcomed on board the Vela armchair, designed for RODA by m2 atelier. Following its debut at Milan Design Week, Vela has entered the world of yachting for the first time, finding in the spaces of Azimut’s new yacht an ideal setting to express its outdoor vocation.
The armchair’s refined proportions, enveloping comfort and contemporary character engage in dialogue with the architecture on board and the Mediterranean landscape, interpreting an increasingly fluid and sophisticated way of experiencing outdoor spaces.
A presence that further strengthens RODA’s connection with the world of yachting and, in particular, with Azimut Yachts. In previous editions of the Cannes Yachting Festival, RODA’s outdoor furnishings have enhanced the terrace, the dock and one of the yachts of the nautical brand led by Giovanna Vitelli.
Taking centre stage at the Cannes Yachting Festival, alongside the furniture collection, were Davide Pompa, RODA’s Commercial Director, and Marco Bonelli and Marijana Radovic, founders of m2 atelier and designers of Vela.
From Milan Design Week to life on board, Vela thus reveals a new dimension: that of a piece of furniture capable of naturally adapting to different settings while preserving its distinctive identity. A meeting between design and yachting that reflects RODA’s ability to bring the culture of outdoor living on board, transforming open spaces into authentic places to live.
