En Plein Air: Milano Design Week by RODA|MISSONI
As part of Milan Design Week 2024, RODA and MISSONI, two world leaders in design and outdoor furnishing, consolidate their new partnership with the launch of an Outdoor Design collection.
United by their innovative soul and sophisticated taste, the two companies combine the forces of their creative teams to produce an aesthetic and functional style to interpret an exclusive outdoor range of furnishing and design.
“With this partnership, that combines the knowledge of fashion and outdoor furniture – says Davide Pompa, Sales & Marketing Director of Roda – we aimed to create contemporary and recognizable design pieces, focusing on detail, elegance and quality”.
“We have joined forces for a new concept of Outdoor design – stated Alberto Caliri, Creative Director of Missoni Home – We have dedicated a Fuorisalone installation to this project, in our showroom in via Solferino, which highlights the value of each individual item, textiles and forms. A central illuminated island, like a magical garden of stone and glass, welcomes the items of the collection in the midst of special lighting effects. Experimentation is, as everyone knows, the cornerstone of Italian know-how. And our common roots in the Varese region help us in our partnership, bringing together skills and filling us with enthusiasm”.
Missoni fabrics, available in five different patterns – Riva, Bamboo, Opera, Spiga, and Duna – upholster RODA furnishings, that can be viewed at Salone del Mobile 2024, at the Roda stand, as well as at the Missoni showroom in via Solferino, where a central island highlights the elements of the new collaboration between stones and crystals.
The display features the pentagonal and modular sofa Mamba, the theatrical daybed Arena, the iconic lounge chair Laze, the pouffes of the Double series, the Orson lounger, the Harp chair with armrests, and the sofas Levante and Spool.
