La Maison Orford – Canada
Designed by Thellend Fortin Architectes, Maison Orford is a single-family home located in the heart of the Eastern Townships, right next to Parc national du Mont-Orford. Immersed in maple and fir forests, it offers a spectacle that changes with the seasons, from the blazing colors of autumn to the verdant awakening of spring.
Echoing the tripartite composition of the surrounding woodlands, Maison Orford is organised into three levels: the garden level, first floor and bel étage. A sculptural metal staircase connects the three floors, allowing residents to traverse the home along a smooth, diagonal path.
RODA design collections create outdoor spaces of relaxation and beauty, where design meets nature.
For the work on Maison Orford, Thellend Fortin Architectes was awarded Grand Winner in the Architecture category of the Grands Prix du Design 17th edition, as well as Platinum Winner in the Interior Design category.
